Wow, I'm super jealous of people who have easily accessible green space. I have to drive somewhere if I want to go for a nice walk outdoors. Here are two of my favorite areas.

When I lived downtown I'd go and walk in the gorgeous cemetery, complete with a herd of deer.

But my favorite place to go is a nice little nature walk up by a creek up on the far north side of town. It's a far drive, but worth it. I don't have many pictures that really show the area, though - although I did do some doll photos out there!

Well... welcome to southern Illinois, lol!  Be forewarned, a lot of the fields are still brown and trees are still trying to bud. :P  It usually doesn't look this---brown.

I drove to my parents' house today across town (Collinsville, Illinois)...

The bluffs are on the right; corn/bean/horseradish fields are on your left.  We are, after all, the horseradish capital of the world haha..

If you look waaaay off on the horizon line (like look just above that white building), you can vaguely make out some taller structures.  That's St. Louis.  If you can zoom in on the picture, you could make out the St. Louis arch. :)  In real life, you can see it very well.  I love the view from this road looking over to St. Louis. visitors can't see pics , please register or login

Everyone has such gorgeous photos, I love the diversity! The birds, rock formations, and architecture are really cool, and Austria looks like something out of a fairy tale.
I live on a ranch, so there are plenty of places for walking out here. Please keep in mind that all of these photos, excluding the final one, were taken in winter. I have more recent ones but they're still on the camera, and I'm too lazy to remove them. :B

I'm so jealous of everyone, you guys have some of the most beautiful landscape, complete with wildlife. Aside from kids playgrounds there is absolutely no greenery anywhere near us, it's at the other end of town, or just outside town. We go for walks along the riverside (forgot to bring my cell last time to take pics) and in and around the "ford city district", so here's some pics of the ford city area.

 A spoonbill! They come in pink??!!! SQUEEEE! I love them  Are the other birds Ibises? Lovely picture :)

Yep, very pink! There are two that come around regularly. The other birds are Wood Storks. There's about 20 of them or so that hang around here. We do have Ibis too :) Three kinds, white, black and scarlet. Here's some white ones in the front yard.

We get a lot of birds since I live across the street from a lake. There is also an alligator that lives in the same swale in my first picture. I live in the middle of wildlife central. A bear even walked past my window once

For some reason I can't find any of my photos of the beach. I must have stuck them in an obscure folder or something. If I find them, I'll be back.

Sundown, I love looking at the snow! Idaho is beautiful! Such big landscapes.

I'm so jealous of everyone, you guys have some of the most beautiful landscape, complete with wildlife. Your area may not be green but it looks like it has a lot of character. Look forward to seeing your pics of the riverside area, maybe you have some wildlife there?

More Spoonbills, yeay! Thank you Blackcurtains. My favorite waders :) But I'm glad we don't have alligators here  ;)
