so after the melting pony incident I drove to the thrift shop after work and found this pony. Its the exact same thing in a different color! Heck yeah, idea salvaged.

Tribble, yep.  He is now hairless and has a few holes in his chest.  Not going to go too crazy as yes, he is adorable.  ;)  Seashell, I want one of those!!!  LOVE!
