Today being that it was so nice out (we're due for snow again tom  ) I spent time outside giving my two year old mini horse some love.

Oh my goodness, your mini is so adorable!  I'm glad you guys could get in a nice day outside before it snows again!

I took my mare to her first horse show this morning!  I couldn't be prouder!  She completely floored me with how perfectly behaved she was, which was kind of shocking considering the frantic, sweaty agitated mess that I unloaded from the trailer when we arrived.  After a quick lunge she was all business, though.  We got 3rd and 4th in over fences, 3rd in our first hack, and then won the last 3 pleasure classes we entered.  She actually won Hunter Open Pleasure Champion of the day, which made me really happy.  I have seriously been having a "proud horse parent" moment all day, and she seemed to really enjoy herself after she got over being freaked out.  She loved the fact that the indoor had mirrors so she could look at herself!

Noting involving ponies but I did manage to go out for a little.  Its still cold out but atleast its above freezing.

I'd really hoped to get some real pony time in today, but we're currently under a wind advisory with predicted gusts up to 50 mph    At least I'll be able to get the barn good and cleaned out - just moved my chickens back outside yesterday, so there's a LOT of spring cleaning to do in there!

I had a pony day today with my moose haha.  Naw she's not a moose, almost as big as one tho.  Cleaned her up and rode with a barn friend and her Arab.  Going back tomorrow, erm today now I guess, trying for earlier than yesterday...
