Chrysalis 2.0- a G4 commission

A commission for the adorable Katie, aka Moira. This girl started as a FiM Cadence (of course ) and was changeling'd into the beautifully Wicked Chrysalis!! I am quite please with how she came out. I used a Dremel hand tool to bore out the holes in her legs, Apoxie Clay for her mane tail and crown-thinger, she was painted with acrylics, lightly accented with glitter on her Fantasy Film wings and sealed with three different types of sealant (do please notice how matte her mane and tail are; I'm stupidly proud of the contrasts. hee hee hee) ETA: Oh and her saddle was crafted with genuine scarab wings.

  I'm usually not keen on commission work but I really enjoyed working with Katie and this girl was quite enjoyable to bring to life.

  I assume you mean what brand of metallic paint and that would be 'folk art.'

  But, I need to go and edit my original post because the only metallic paint that I did use on her was the black parts of her saddle, horn and crown-thinger. Her saddle was crafted from genuine Scarab wings. As far as I know there is currently no paint on the market that can imitate that type of iridescence.

I've seen a beetle like that, dead in Greece and I pinched it's wing cases and made earrings! Just love the saddle on her.  Mmmm, structural colour, beautiful!
