Buzzing, you can buy/sell them in the DoA market place now. They have to be listed as companions and are in the subforum called Doll Props.

So, as many of you have multiple dolls, I'm wondering how you deal/handle when others (significant others, parents, etc) get on you for spending so much on bjds?

My bf was trying to put his foot down on me getting a second doll, and we talked it over. His only real reason for saying no is that it's a lot of money. It kinda took me calling him out as a hypocrite to get him to back down on it. I wish it hadn't came to that, but it's my own money and I'm current on all my bills, plus he spends just as much on other things that he enjoys.

Honestly, if I had a gf/bf that said no to how I spent my money I would kick them to the curb. Especially if there was no struggle at all in paying bills, food, etc. Then again I cannot stand being controlled in any way like that, it severely bothers me and makes me just get rid of what's bothering me. I know it sounds horrible but I'm not the world's biggest people person. (Speaking of which a friend of mine is going though a divorce where her husband would constantly gripe about how much she spent on her dolls all while going out and dropping $250-300 on Warhammer sets off of ebay. :/)

I don't have this problem, fortunately.... My family doesn't care what I spend my money on as long as my bills are paid and I don't have a SO. But, my advice would be to sit and have a civilized talk with him about how you each spend your money and compromise on maybe a budget?

I only have 3 BJD, however I have a room dedicated to MLP and MH, so I do collect a lot of items. My husband doesn't have a problem with it at all, he just appreciates that when I order expensive items that I get them from sites that offer layaway since it's too much for us all in shot. I can appreciate why he feels that way, it's much easier to drop 1/3 - 1/4 of $400 vs that amount all at once

Now I just have to sit here sadly and wait for her to arrive
My mom wasn't too approving of it, she didn't want me spending $300+ on a doll but I'm happy. I'm more than happy. I've wanted a BJD for quite some time and the advice from you guys in the Dollhouse finally helped me get her!
So thanks guys, I'm always checking this thread for pretty pictures of yours until I can post my own
