CasseminaPie, she's wearing a wig from DDE :)

Oh so's mine! Maybe I just got a dud :( Yours is all gorgeous and silky!

NoDivision - my advice is get one of each :D

xkelpiex - I've also ordered some hopefully amazing acrylics from CandyWorld on Etsy, I'll let you know how they go :) For some reason I really prefer acrylics in my pukifees and pukis but glass in my latis and other girls.

I agree with CasseminaPie about one of each!  I love my PukiPukis, but my PukiFee is a little easier to pose and a lot easier to sew for.  I'm watching for just the right one to pop up for my second, as my Ante is a little lonely lol

I want a pukifee but I'm not sure if they may be too small for me, I love the mnf/ltf sizes but pukis seem so little...they're so cute tho XD <3 Mio.

Took my girls to the empty lot nearby for some photos, I'm still sore from rolling around on my tummy, but it was soooo worth it.  The smell was just heavenly.  I love spring!  :lovey:

I think Charlotte finally got a pair of eyes that work, she stole them from my Juri head, and while normally I don't like eyes that match the wig, these just seem so perfect for her.

I'm also in love with Angel Studio's Ayaliz, but I'm trying REALLY hard not to get her, there's so much other stuff I need to get.  But she's just so cute...

That's funny I'm the exact opposite  I find my Pukis far easier to balance and pose and because they are so little I find sewing them easier (just because the designs have been be simpler, for me anyway :))

I love that field of flowers Prismatic - so pretty and your girls look amazing posing in it!

Maybe eventually I'll be able to afford one of each XD Right now I'm saving for the next Batchix mini machina, but I'm contemplating putting a puki on layaway with DDE.

I thought Candyworld was urethane eyes? Like Candykittens eyes. Man, if Candyworld made those sparkling or flower eyes in 6/8mm I would be snatching those up for my pukipuki in no time, haha!

ETA: Just checked, they're urethane, but maybe they had acrylics that they sold you, too? Anyway, they do have one pair of the flower eyes in 8mm but they're pink, hmmm. Oh well, I think I'm settling on a pair of CiG eyes.
QUESTION: Do pukipukis take high or low dome eyes? I suspect low dome....

CandyWorld does do acrylics at times and you can get her to custom make them :) she has some previous ones in her 'sold items' for reference. They look super cute so fingers crossed!

I just got plain ones so I'm not sure what others she can do but she's great with custom orders so I would just ask!

So here's a nice noobish question XD I've only ever used glass eyes in all my dolls - what are the differences between the other common eye materials like acrylic and urethane?

My understanding is that Glass and Urethane have much more depth and sparkle than acrylic :)

Urethane is the most expensive and has the most depth and are the most life-like followed by glass eyes.

Personally I really like glib acrylics because they have realistic pupil patterns that you can't get with glass - I haven't really looked into urethane since they are waaaaay out of my price range!

I can't wait, my pukifee Ante should be home tomorrow!

So excited to see your Ante!! Alice is still stuck in transit...auspost is soooo slow >.<

Also as a sidenote I realised I have a photo example of glass vs acrylics! It't not the greatest but here you go :)

This is Zoe with glass eyes -not the greatest photo in terms of catching the light but I found these a little flat for her

I know I just checked too  Hurry up post!! I sent her on her journey ages ago @_@

I like glass eyes, they do catch some nice depth that the acrylic eyes don't. That being said, I like my cheap secondhand plastic baby doll eyes on most of my girls just fine, they tend to have more lifelike patterns than the glass ones do. I guess it really depends which look you're going for.

I use soft glass eyes for almost all my dolls.  I also have some custom ones that I made for Tabi.

Those custom eyes are gorgeous!!  I always hate eye shopping...eyes and wigs.  The least favorite for me, lol.

BUT, OMG - I'm so excited!!!  Emmett's new body came in, which means BOTH of my big boys are now finally on bodies!  *happy dance*  Emmett's hook in his foot came out, so in these pics, he's actually only one-footed, lol.  But it's been super-duper extra glued now and I'm letting it dry overnight so I can fix him up tomorrow.

So yeah, pictures because I'm loving them!

And for fun, here's a size comparison with the boys, and Cecily.  They make her look like a puki, lol!

I really am thinking of leaving Hound bald for a while...I like the look on him.  What do you guys think of bald dolls?  I want to get him some beanies to wear sometimes, but mostly, I like him with no hair.
