I say that Rainbow-fied is at least better than never being able to afford a single release of her, but I do understand it's not everyone's cup of tea

Which is why I suggest holding onto your first release girl if you have one and love her.

If Hasbro is worried AJ won't sell as well as the other ponies then maybe they can make half as many as they usually make so at least us collectors could get one
