I found this 'article' on the evolution of ponies. Maybe you could print it out (or sections of it) to help explain why the ponies look so different.  I know it helped me to understand the process! If it is too small, you can find it on my pinterest.
*Edit*  cropped the pic and attached the three that I thought might be the most helpful. Can email directly if still too small on this forum.

I'll definetly show pictures!

Haruna: That's sweet! It would be great if I could inspire a future pony collector. :)

Sarah-Bee: I'll definetly think of that. The local newspaper here is usually pretty neutral when they write articles though.

Khema: That's great! Thanks! I can't print it out 'cause the text needs to be in Swedish, but I'll definetly use the information. :)
G1, G2 and G3 collector. I also collect a bunch of other stuff. (Too much..)

It all depends on how much public exposure you are comfortable with.  Especially once it hits the Internet, as Sarah-Bee pointed out.  Best of luck!

That article's friendship garden picture isn't anything like official gen2 art... I owned the Friendship Gardens Cd so I know the art well.

I think it's awesome you're showing off your collection but as others have said don't do anything you're not comfortable with!
