I liked Birmingham the best in terms of venue appearance.
I liked Brighton the best for location - in the sense it is a great place for a weekend away. Normally I am forced to take all my stuff on public transport though. Brighton was not good for that.
Nottingham I really didn't enjoy. Far too crowded and again, a long way away from the centre of town.

In terms of dates, I'm a teacher and I can only attend full weekends, or places more than a couple of hours from Norwich, unless it happens towards the end of a school holiday. Pretty much why I missed Cardiff this year. I hate the Brony thing too so the likelihood of me wanting to attend a full weekend until that craze is over is pretty slim anyway.

I've been to all the conventions except for Morecombe and Cardiff. I wanted to go to Cardiff, but the location and the earlier date just made it impossible for me.

The second Birmingham convention seemed to be a good location, but incidentally, the first Birmingham convention was probably the worst location as there was no parking nearby and the hotel was in a pedestrian zone, plus the room was crowded and very hot.

I'd need to break out the photos to work out more details. It was confusing trying to get into Brunel, but otherwise the location was good. Nottinghamshire was great for parking, but the room itself was small, which made the aisles crowded - not good at opening time! At least, I think it was that one. I travelled on the day, so the location was okay for me, but I can understand that people staying there may well have found it a bit isolated. Brighton was the only place I stayed in the official hotel, which was nice, but still got lost going to the venue, lol. Food was definitely the main problem for Brighton, and the room itself was spacious enough. Was Sheffield the one where we had the problems with the room on the day?

I do love Ponycon :) I've had a stall at every convention I've been to bar Manchester though, which does limit my activities somewhat! I used to have my sisters helping, but they've not been for a few years now. Not sure if I'll be able to have a stall this year - will probably depend on when and where! :)

I think Cardiff was my favourite venue too... Totally not just because I live 20 mins away! I liked the Cardiff Con better because both days were walking around buying things. Was really fun having a stall with my mother!

it looks like it is going to take place in autumn, Irkencat - feel free to do our survey (link on page1). we are asking about your perfect time frame there too (that gives you an idea, when it is most likely to be).

there was a lot of space at the Cardiff venue to have a wander around.

Here are my next two pics... they are both property of MLPLaura

LOL, half my rainbow dash cosplay and photographic proof of the red sharpie i managed to get down my face lol XD Not to mention the nice shot of the terrifying newborn cuties behind me XD I love showing that ep at cons because it's so hilariously bad :)

Really excited for ponycon as it'll be the first time in a long time i get to enjoy the buildup and the con as an attendee lol.

I've been to every con except the first one in Morecombe and every one had it's good and bad points. I had my first stall last year though which was cool :D

I will probably end up attending wherever it is (if I can manage to get to the US one each year then the UK one shouldn't be a huge problem) but I have my fingers crossed for London as the location!

My first ponyCon was Manchester 2005 and that was my first year collecting and therefore very special. That was the first time I met many of you.
Then I've been to Uxbridge (the least fave so far) due to location and the place itself, it was too small but then I didn't attend members day which is always my fave day!; Sheffield; Birmingham (loved the place too) and Brighton (lovely!) although impossible for food, it was all sold out by 11 am...

I can't wait to hear when next convention is and where it is, although I don't mind where it's located as long as I can take some kind of direct flight if I am on the islands by that time!
