I think they look like they're coming out the butt because the darker inner portion of the wing connects/touches the rump, but there's a lighter color on the edge of the wing that connects the the back. Can't really tell from the photos we've seen so far, but I'm not sure they'd be that stupid as to make the wings come out of their rumps! I'm inclined to believe Aquatic Neon about that. :)
I'll put something here some time

Will reserve judgement till I see them in person but from the photos I'm kinda thinking meh.

I think Hasbro painted themselves into a corner. With the size of the actual ponies, and having to go smaller than that with breezies and make them look like they fit in with g4...plus whatever kinda downsizing they did at the factory to produce 'cheaper' stuff. I think it's just a loose loose for collectors, and even kids for that matter.

Me too, I love that Fluttershy!  The breezie is a little weird, but I never liked them in the first place.

Hmm... still seeing butt wings... but agree it could be more clear in person.

I honestly wonder why they used molded hair for the Breezies and then packaged them with brushables?  The juxtaposition is jarring...

They would be adorable with a wisp of real hair.

Yea, it looks weird to have one pony with hair and then the other is plastic zombie pony.

I think the thing about the brushable hair, it makes ponies seem more realistic, whereas plastic hair...they just don't look as interesting to me, it almost feels empty, soulless.

And I know that a lot of the FIM only fans (Bronies) seem to really want what they call "show accurate", which I take to mean plastic hair.

But I've been into MLP for 30 years and something about the plastic hair just doesn't feel right to me or seem as friendly. Does that even make sense?

The plastic hair is just there...I guess it's great if you want a untouchable statue...but something about the brushable hair is better. I'm just not a fan of plastic hair.

Yeah-  I'm okay with plastic hair for a static figure-  but for one that should be played with?  It needs to be hair.  Otherwise it's just not very interactive.

"I dunno, they don't look much like Breezies to me! What do you think, Zipzee?"

"Thier manes look kinda plastic, don't they, Tiddlywink?"

"I guess you're right, Tralala. And I don't like where those wings are coming out of at all."

All together: "Eh, I guess they're all right."

Was not excited for these if they even remotely resembled the bug-looking G3 ones. All hope lost.  I wanted a completely new design.

I am on the fence if I like them or not. I guess I will have to wait until I see them in person.

LMAO! Omg, Firehooves, I laughed so loud I scared my sleeping cat off the bed! XD

I am very disappointed in the breezies.... :c I ... I really just can't say that enough. The Breezies are one of my favorite breeds of all the gens, even including the wide range of G1's and... like others have said, these just look all out of proportion. What's with the tiny stick legs? Also, no cutie marks? :( So they really are not ponies at all, but some other creature entirely? Sad.

On the other hand, I am ENTIRELY EXCITED about that Fluttershy! Ever since they first released the "Rainbow Power" vector art on the boxes, I have been DYING for some brushables made to look like the vectors! And now it looks like we're going to get them!! All right! And-and-and--!! There's a key in the boy, with Fluttershy's cutie mark on it! And a box that the key probably opens! That is ALL SO CUTE!

If Hasbro does a set of the Mane 6, each with this new Rainbow Power look with a Breezies and a key and a lock box.... I will buy them all. Aaaaallllllll. >_>
Thank you Thimble for my amazingly cute avatar!
