NY Toy Fair 2014

OK so my shopping list goes as follows....

New EQG characters - Trixie, Zecora, Photo Finish, Octavia, DJ-Pon3, Adagio and the other un-named ones.

Breezies - must have....

Unsure about getting repeat EQG mane 6's though, even if they do have different hair/shoes.  (I don't care much for any of the clothes since I make my own    )

I am excited about the new EQG dolls, I just hope they come to the UK

I was really hoping for more new ponies. I don't want scene phase re-releases. I don't want dolls. I want horses.

Don't get me wrong, I am excited about the dolls and the movie but I just don't want to see the pastel horses die out in favor of dolls. Do both but don't sacrifice one for the other.

Also, fun fact: I was going to buy the rainbow rocks rarity and pony set for the pony but now that I see that it is a gimmick being done for all of the mane six, instead of just a neat version of one or two ponies, I am going to pass on all of them. I don't need more repeats. I don't actually want mane six armies. I also don't want the dolls.

What's sad is either my daughter is being genuine or she's copying my tastes. But seeing how we  read this thread together at the same, I say it's pretty sad when your target audience is even rolling their eyes at this stuff. And she's 9 going on 10!

This is what I will be afraid of, because that is what they did with Sunset Shimmer... and you know what's bad? I had to LOOK UP Sunsets name! Literally I forgot what her name was, now that is bad.

*grabs rocking chair*  back in my day, My Little Pony was about ponies.  They had different characters, and you could brush their hair.

How awesome would it have been if they had pleased both fandoms by keeping ponies ponies, and rebooting Jem and the holograms?  Why oh why are there so many new characters, and NONE of them are ponies?!

I like the 1 new brushable, and I may look for the ones that come with dolls on ebay or taobao.  I'm interested to see the snowglobe ponies, but that's about it.  I have no collections outside on MLP, and the rocker dolls are just not MLP to me.

I showed my husband the KISS brushables, and he asked me why they were dressed like 'ladies of the night', lol.  My thoughts exactly.

One thing that has me excited, besides all the new EQG stuff and the Breezies and the snowglobe Princesses and the POP stuff, is that it looks like we are getting brushables that match the Rainbow Power artwork. Yay for TAF ponies even if all but one is a repeat character.

However I am disappointed in the lack of Littlest Pet Shop coverage.

Is 'having to buy a doll' for a pony really so painful? Sounds awesome to me. :c

It is if you don't want the doll but you will now have to pay 2-3 times the price if you want the pony.

maybe they'll go back to Ponies when their current decision makers get promoted or fired.

Disappointed, the only thing that interests me is Holly Dash, but even then I would have preferred her normal and not covered in spots - I know you could easily remove the spots, but I like to keep my collection original and not customised.

I agree. The dolls are hideous in my opinion, and way overpriced. If I wanted a pony which came packaged with one of the dolls (luckily I do not) I would be well unimpressed if I had to buy a doll to get the pony.

So is it confirmed that we won't be having a fan favorites set this year or is there still hope?
I know there's that set by the EQG stuff where the mane 6 are now punk 6  , but I mean more like the sets from previous years.

I'll be getting Holly Dash, but wow those dolls are horrible looking. It's really sad if what Hasbro said was true, that during the week of Christmas, EQG was the #1 selling fashion doll in the US.

Lol. These should be Hot Topic exclusives. I think that the parents that buy pink fluffy things for their daughters aren't going to buy seikima demon ponies at TRU, I mean I'll buy 'em, but I'm a weirdo(minority).
