Scammers - they'll try anything. I hate when they use stories like this one though , especially as Cancer affects so many peoples loved ones
I'm so *not*  surprised at the name change since she's been found out, but that wont help her . The TP will be able to sort her out on there too  if its the same person - thankfully she isnt here.

Ive had similar sob stories over the years. Always a sick child with terminal illness. Ive gotten that way I no longer believe it. Its terrible you think the worst of people, but they just keep on trying to make up stories to get stuff cheaper / for free.

Sadly, it's too the point that I'd want a copy of the hospital bill and talk to the child's doctor over the phone before I even *started* believing these stories.  Most parents who are dealing with ill children are NOT focused on Ebay and collecting toys for the kids, they're focusing on either getting the child well, and in (sadly) terminally ill cases, looking at end-of-life care.

It makes me so sick when people pull this crap.

You know this really, really makes me angry.  I actually DO have a niece who has cancer (Hodgkin's Lymphoma in remission so far yay!) and does love ponies.  I've bought ponies for her on eBay and had them sent to her house.  NEVER would it enter my mind to ask sellers for a better deal because the ponies were destined for her.  This is just low.  I just.... I just have no words for this. 

I am so sorry to hear about your niece, Brighteyes.  I hope she gets the best medical care possible! My dad is currently fighting stage IV cancer, so people that try and pull crap like this makes me incredibly angry, there are no words for how low some people will go..

I replied that she needs to straighten things out with the mods. I wouldn't like to think bad on others until it's fully proven. I'm not sure how the scam was even confirmed?

Does eBay have a rule against block evaders? Afiak most other sites do. If they do I'd report them for scamming and block evading.

UPDATE.....I just realized that this girl did buy a pony from me recently on Jan 23rd! I remember her now because she had hustled me so hard on best offers that I actually cracked up laughing instead of getting irritated and countered her back saying "Oh come on.....this is the lowest I will go..." She was literally countering me back .25 cheaper than my offer....wth lol...I just though wow ok this one is VERY frugal Now I see that she is so frugal that she is actually willing to lie about helping children with cancer!!!MAKES ME SICK!
