Whats the best or worst surprise you have received in a pony lot?

As the title suggests!!

Have you bought a job lot of ponies off Ebay / Etsy / Craigslist....etc and when you got them found an  unexpected pony / item in there? It could be that the picture was blurred or the ponies were photographed in a huge heap.

The reason I ask is that I have taken a gamble on a box of ponies and you could only see the top layer, I am hoping there might be a buried treasure!

My sister once bought a lot where the picture was horribly blurred and in the lot was a princess variant!

Me on the other hand have an odd example to show. Years ago I bought a pony lot and in the bottom of the box was this horrible item......................

  I still have it!!!!!!! If I was a child getting one of those party bag would have given me nightmares!!!

  The best surprise I ever got was a SS Angel in amazing condition.  I had purchased a lot that included ponies and accessories and one of the six stalled stables.  It had lots of pictures but none directly of her- they weren't sellers who knew ponies, I guess, and hadn't bothered to picture their lot completely. 

  When I saw her I went back through the sale pics and realized her leg was poking out in one, but just barely.  She made the rest of the lot almost free and I was able to pass her along to someone on the arena who was thrilled

I received a lot of rare pony surprises over the years.

The worst surprise was a single pony leg... the rest of the pony was not in the box! O.o

Was this the lot on ebay described as "a box of ponies" if so I know who's in the box  I emailed the seller for more pictures of everything inside

 I saw the lot and was intrigued I was watching it but I'd already spent my pony funds
I can see if I still got the seller's photos if you'd like
It's a nice lot there's a few I liked in there

oh phew!!  i'll wait till it comes at work (hopefully Tuesday as the seller is sending it tomorrow), my workmates quite like it when I get pony mail as I turn into a 8 year old squeeling as I open it

Nothing particularly exciting, but I once got a UK Baby Mischief and a collector's pose Applejack in a random lot recently.  I was quite pleased!

Do Savers pony bags count? I guess one of the worst things I found was a chewed LPS pet and a bunch of ugly fake Squinkies. One of the best surprises was finding a G3 with a Pixietail clipped in its hair.

I don't do much lot purchasing online, but years ago I did win a lot on Ebay for a decent price. The seller had listed another lot at the same time and had the twin to one of the ponies in MY lot in the other lot. I didn't need any of the other ponies in that other lot, so I didn't bid on it myself and it ended up not selling. After I won my lot I messaged the seller to ask if I could possibly purchase the twin to the pony I'd won. I explained they were a pair and not doubles of the same pony.

I got no response whatsoever from the seller, so I thought I'd over-stepped my bounds in asking about it. It was ok though, I had only bought the one lot so they were under no obligation to sell me one pony from another lot.

ANYWAY, when my box arrived from the seller, they had included BOTH lots! They had given me their other lot for free (including the twin that I had wanted)!! It was so super nice and very unexpected. ^-^

Hmmm....the best surprise was probably a barrette for Baby Lollipop. It was a lot of combs on ebay which was packed full of later year UK combs - tales, hair do, family friends, etc - so the bidding went really high. Perhaps £5 higher than I thought in value. And then when it arrived in amongst them all was Baby Lollipop's barrette! Suddenly financially it was a bargain!

Years ago before I was even on the arena, I bought a lot from here in the US(it had argie Buttons in it, listed as TAF buttons!) and the seller threw in a MOC argie ponywear set! 

It and Argie Buttons were the first non US things I got.

Amusing I bid on the box of ponies as well, but when I saw what was inside there wasn't what I thought inside so I gave it miss. But some of the ponies do look nice. My best surprise was a couple of surprise newborns I wasn't expecting in there. Worst... Random tails... Oh and the dead spiders and flies lol!!
