My husband both collects Sierra/Dynamix/Coktel Vision games and revamps their soundtracks.  :D  It's actually how we met.  I found his forum while searching for information on my favorite Sierra game, Shivers.  He seriously know, like, half the people who used to work there.  In fact, Al Lowe and Josh Mandel, the creators of Leisure Suit Larry, recently collaborated with him to work on the soundtrack to Freddy Pharkas, Frontier Pharmacist.  It was AWESOME.

I'm gonna send him the link to this post and see if he has anything he'd like to add. :)

Oh, of course I did!

Recently I showed my boyfriend, who never had, King's Quest. He found it charming.

Here is some screen shots from the remakes by AGD interactive...The fun part is they introduced a new story line to it that makes these games very interesting. It pretty much goes through why all these things happen in Daventry and who these people are with the black cloaks (Hagatha, Mannanan, Lolotte, Mordack and Alhazred). Makes the games more fuller. Plus they added some new puzzles. Not everything is the same for all the older puzzles either.  ;)

I was kinda hoping the remakes would follow the originals accurately, but you make them sound even better than the originals, I'll defenitely be playing them!

Lol I think they are wonderful! They still stay true to the KQ series, but just embellished a bit. They are very fun and intriguing!

Yep, but I just had one.  It was Kings Quest 7.  I didn't play the other games though.  I think we got this game free from getting another game.  But, people broke into the house we lived in that had it and they took all our PC games including that.  I never realized the extent of having to go through the actual winning process.  A lot of the puzzles I just skipped and others I didn't know existed.  My favorite land was Oogey Boogey land.  Sometimes it scared me though.
