Reading this thread has made me desperate to play them again...  I remember we (my sister and I) got stuck on one of the Kings Quest puzzles for EEEEVER - I think that maybe it was the Rumpledstiltskin name too-  I think my game required a misspelling of the name as well, I wonder if it was intentional?

Best part...now with the internet, there are lovely walkthroughs in case you get really stuck! :)

I don't remember the issue with having to misspell Rumpeltiltskins name, I do remember you were supposed to put it in backwards.

There's a big sale on a bunch of Sierra games going on over at gog.com this weekend! Looks they're including all of King's Quest, Space Quest, Gabriel Knight, Phantasmagoria, and Quest for Glory. I think they're all under $5 too!

Take a look! http://www.gog.com/promo/activision_weekend_promo_170114

I still love Sierra's King's Quest games. I bought a game pack that had them all on CD just to play/replay them!  My first and favorite from youth was King's Quest 6. Back then, I had no idea how or where to get the others - that's part of what I love about the web, you can find almost anything. And now, I want to get and play through the remakes.
