How many Peru White Moonstones?

So I am guessing that ebay peru was snagged after the listing was pulled = I've bought from that seller before and asked about if they sold it or were relisting and never heard back... sucks that probably means it's another "disappeared" pony

Anyone know how many have been found? 3-4 maybe? I was hoping to have been able to bid but such was not to be (wonder if they only sold her for that $350 price which I think is a steal given her rarity)

oh wow... thought there was more spotted.  Dang shame this one's gone underground than - didn't know there was only that one other one.

So does this fit the peru pattern of two types?  Like with lickety, tootsie, medley ?? Was this similar to how Mexico has the purple hair run - playset variety?  Mail order?  I couldn't find much in way of history (sorry if this was old arena stuff I missed)

I also agree that I think this is only the second white Moonstone. I don't think there's enough info about that specific pony to make a theory about how/why she was released in a different color. The other Peru ponies that have 2 variations are much more plentiful, and several have been found MOC. I don't think any of those were any sort of special offer.

Oh I second that one - more peru ponies in general would be great for 2014!

Yeah, maycrest, I did exactly the same thing; I was watching the auction, hoping to bid, then saw that it had been pulled.  I emailed the seller to ask the same thing, but also didn't hear back.

The seller did seem to know that this was a very rare and valuable pony, so I doubt she sold white Moonstone for the opening bid of $350.  I think we can at least be comforted knowing that she didn't disappear for a bargain.  Someone probably messaged the seller with a very generous BIN offer.

She'll probably resurface again eventually (though it could take years), and then we'll know who snagged her!

yah, I agree let's hope it's not like that piggy lot bargain from the UKebay a couple months ago.  I am still kicking myself I didn't put in a bid the first moment I saw her, did not know we'd seen only one other - I like moonstone in a gusty pose (same goes for bowtie) - and maybe the seller would've reconsidered.  Then again, maybe not though depending on that BIN offer they got

This one had a nibbled horn tip, so we'll know her even if others surface too.  I think the other white Moonstone had chopped hair, right?  (The mane is short on this one too, but it's the normal Peru short and super-curly hairdo, I think.)
