Well I agree that the add was for the toyline, but it seems unlikely they'd create vectors for the Rainbow line and have an ad for the toys if they weren't going to incorporate it into the show.  Since the show, is also an ad.

I actually really love rainbows, I just wish they had done a little bit better of a job with the styles of some of these...  especially when they use the clashing colors, it is really jarring!

I just saw the regular ponies in a Target here in GA. They're pretty -- I especially like the Rarity. I still wish we could have new ponies, though. Or, at least, some other ponies with new designs -- like a Rainbow Blossomforth -- or something like that.

I've only seen Twilight Sparkle and Cadence at Target so far. Looking forward to finding Rarity!

All of the main 6 have had a "rainbow power" release in the current playful pony size wave or the one which is just pending!
