MLP Collectible Card Game !!

We sat down last night with the game and the rules and after an hour of staring at the rules and watching tutorials on youtube I still have no idea how to play.  I finally just packed it back up out of frustration.  I'm probably missing something huge, but it made zero sense to me even how to do the first round beyond one person drawing a card, and one person not drawing a card.

OMG my husband and I did the exact same thing! The rule book that came with the game was completely confusing to us so we ended up looking up tutorials on YouTube. heh heh heh
We get the concept now but we still don't know how to play events and resources.

Ya I've heard other suggestions of people saying we should all let Enterplay know how broken the game and the instructions are.

I was hoping that it would be a challenge to play (not too simple and "little kid" like), but this is a bit ridiculous. The instructions are the worse part. The way that they're written is very hard to follow IMO.

I hope someone is playing/teaching this at Pony Fair so I have half a chance of learning, because left on my own it's a lost cause!

They announced that the next line of boosters would come out late March/early April and they listen really close to the confusion (even watching/commenting on the Facebook group.. and Enterplay has an official rulings post for some common questions).

The game took me about a week to work out the kinks, but if you follow the card phases listed on the playmat, it isn't too difficult.

We're starting to get the hang of the game now. Granted we've tweaked a few of the rules ever so slightly; but now that we understand the steps a little better it's proving to be really fun. I even got my brother to play a couple of rounds with me today!

Fair staff are working on this. It is looking like Enterplay will attend Pony Fair and have a special gaming area/Enterplay shop set up. We still have to work out all the details, but it is looking good for them to attend.

Yeah, I was told when I demoed this at GenCon it's almost as hard as Magic the Gathering, but a little easier. I was able to work through the rules without too many hiccups, just because I had demoed it once before and understood the basics. I'm still not 100%, but hopefully whenever I get a chance to play with some other friends it will clear up everything.

My husband and I played a round last night and I actually won! lol
It defnitely takes a few matches to really get the ins and outs of the game, but you get into the swing of it pretty quickly.
