Help me check your G1 uni Sparkler's feet!

Hi guys, I need a favour. Help me check the feet of your Sparkler to see if yours is not made in "Hong Kong". Apparently I remembered a post somewhere about a made in China Sparkler and that she's very rare and can't seem to find anyone who has one currently. Maybe you own one and didn't realise? So, go check your Sparklers!

When she was made Hasbro were still producing in Hong Kong and for political reasons as well as the opening of manufacturing borders they jumped to China along with a lot of other companies mid-80s so after Sparkler was made.

I don't have a pic, which is why I am asking around for one. I didn't think there was either, but I think a year or two ago, someone posted about it with pics to prove. It appears that the post is no longer in the archives. That's what got me interested. If I didn't recall wrongly the China one had slightly smaller symbols, but other than that, more or less the same as the HK version. Still on the hunt for someone to post pictures for owning 1.

All of the old Arena threads are still there and nothing has been archived out of the forums so I am not sure why a thread on it in particular would vanish. Hopefully someone can find the old thread to see who claimed to own her . But in the mean time I will remain firmly in the "myth" camp

Actually it might have been because MLPArena was mlparena.net for a while before we migrated servers? Anyway I keyed in "Sparkler" and my latest entry dates back to Feb 2012, so if the person had posted in 2011... then it's not coming up on my search. I'm now digging through mlptp to see if the lady had cross posted since I can still get posts made in 2007 there. lol

Hmm guess I should change the title to get everyone to check their Sparklers for me.

OMG HIMMIE YOU ARE MY ANGEL!!!!! That's the post. For a moment I was filled with self-doubt and thought I was going craazzzzyyyyy!!!!! I just realised though, no one posted a pic of the feet of their Sparkler in that thread. OoooOOooOOOoooo.....

Checked mine ..shes just hong kong.. i dont think that there is one in china.. i checked the mlp guide on my lil wiki..nothing about one in hong kong.

If you need to just search www.mlparena.com/archive That will find you the threads for a while we were www.mlparena.com/mlp before the switch over!

Filthy is still an active member around the boards so hopefully she will be able to pop up and show us pictures of her Chinese Sparkler! I am guessing the images posted were hers?
