Its ok...we all have to start from some were in a new hobby.  I know the feeling at times in the past.

I know that we as humans always want more and more. But sometimes we need to enjoy what we do have and be thankful for it.

I feel the same way sometimes. When you see photos of a big collection of good condition ponies that are nicely displayed, it's so exciting, like "I want to have that too!". I find that the best trick for me to reduce the jealousy is to think of my own ponies not in terms of what I don't have, but rather what I do. Even having just one or two ponies can still be an exciting collection that makes you happy if you love and cherish them.

I get jealous of displays, mostly... All I want is a pony room - is that too much to ask? An entire room devoted to plastic ponies??! Why is this such a problem?

Some of us have been collecting for a very very long time
Me I started collecting in 1999
And when I did I only had my 3 childhood ponies that got me started
In time you will get there
I remember having these feelings too but in time it does get better
Hugs just think of the pony journey along the way you get to pick and choose and find special ponies along the way too
Keep it fun
Don't stress

I saw a video, from a dutch collector. Her collection was SOOOO pretty! All the Ponies were styled, and now I want to style my Ponies and have nice shelves and ugh. She also had soooo many nice items! Shells, MOC, sooo many Ponies, and all looking perfect. Yes, that made me turn somewhat green.

I think everyone is jealous of someone else's collection for one reason or another. Just remember we all had to start somewhere, and it was usually just one pony that started it! For me, it was SS Ribbon in 1999. ^-^

I started with two childhood ponies. I then turned to ebay at the time and bought lots. Eventually I ended up with tons of ponies that way. I was way happy to trade off what ponies I didn't need for items I did need. :)

I do this all the time! I look at other people's collections and then I go on a buying spree I am trying to be good and only buy things that are set completers and stuff I "need". I had a good start I had a lot of ponies in my childhood collection. It just takes time don't get discourage it's suppose to be fun that is why you do it!! :)

Goodness, me too! Apart from my one large shelf my collection is really all over the place. I stare enviously at pictures of dedicated pony rooms and display areas. I just don't have the room or the funds to put something like that together.

^ yay! :)

I don't think I actually get jealous, I just have the sudden urge to go look for my new favorites.   :P

Honestly, I think if I suddenly found myself with a huge collection, I wouldn't appreciate it as much.  It's fun bonding with each pony as they come in.
