Would you keep Nightmare Moon near your bed?

Last night I put Nightmare Moon on my nightstand, and I had a nightmare. SHE WORKS! Funny thing is, I usually won't put her there, just because of her name. I don't think I'm superstitious, but I kinda avoid things like that anyway. I'll study with Twilight, keep Luna on my nightstand. Perhaps it's the subconscious effect of talismans in which I believe.

In the dream, I was taking an Evidence exam, I wasn't prepared, the exam format was incomprehensible, the professor left for days, none of the students knew what was going on, and I was in my underwear.

Well, she's not coming back to bed EVER AGAIN!

I'm guessing it's a subconscious thing.

I have the Rock a Bye Bed on my headboard, and I rotate which pony is lying on it, wearing the sleeping cap. Right now it's Night Glider.

I don't believe in that sort of thing, but it's empirically-minded people in particular that should be open to doing experiments... I wonder if I put her by our bed my husband will have questions for me!

I always keep a pony or two on my nightstand just because. I rotate them out. Currently I have G1 Star Hopper because I've been watching a lot of old Cosmos episodes and I love space & physics, so he (Star Hopper is a 'he' to me) inspires me to have nice spacey dreams

Haha, thanks! Star Dreams the pony? I don't have that one. But Luna is there. Honestly, I think the dream is more a product of anxiety over back-to-back papers. One is done, but it has left me with no progress on the other that is due Tuesday!

The true nightmare is having to do all that work IRL!! I have NMM and all the others MIB abovethe head of my bed and she's not brought any bad dreams...perhaps you could get a dream catcher to put beside her

I wouldn't say I'm superstitious either, but like you said, I kind of try to avoid stuff like that.  Actually, I am kind of superstitious now that I think about, like I never EVER put my left boot on first because according to Anglo-Saxon (I think?) myth it is nasty luck, and I wear turquoise jewelry when I ride my horse because according to Native American legend it keeps you safe if you fall off.  I mostly do stuff like that for the fun of it though  .  I don't hold any real stock in it, but I like it. 

So I would put her on my nightstand, but she would move back to the other side of my room if I had a nightmare.  She wouldn't end up on my nightstand anyway, though, because that is the location I reserve for blind bag ponies, and my favorites, or latest purchases.  And while I like her, she is by no means favorite pony caliber.

If I kept any ponies in my bedroom, she would definitely be on the nightstand next to my bed, I'm not superstitious in the least

I wouldn't mind at all. :3 I already have chronic nightmares, there's not a lot a pretty plastic pony can do haha!
I try to avoid nightstands in general though. I tend to be a bit of a slob and an easy place to just drop stuff is too big a temptation to me!

I've done so before, to no ill effect.  Which pony/ponies, if any, I set on the nightstand varies, and she's been up to bat a couple of times thus far. No nightmares; just a pretty pony standing there guarding my alarm clock.

I'd do it to test the theory bit if I had a nightmare, I'd move her.

Naw. The space is already crowded near my bed and the addition of another toy might be hazardous for when I get up in the middle of the night.

No definitely not! Only cute ponies allowed! It isn't necessarily superstition it's just  as I write dark songs with my music and I read and watch and listen to dark stuff and my art is dark and I don't want dark things around me in my bedroom!
