anybody else having problems not receiving stuff from china?

Could this be because of the Hong Kong Post has a delay in outbound air mail services for new regulations involving x-ray of packages for contraband liquids. maybe ????

i regulary order from china, also for my friends and 1 out of 7 would not come over, another 2 out of 7 take incredibly long and the others usually take a month to germany.
it´s pretty bad if you order for a special ocasion and it won´t arrive, like birthdays, conventions and such. i understand your worry!
i guess you can contact them via thier shop profile and message them there without opening a case.

I wish there was a way to learn about postal delays from weather/strikes... I am certain that info is kept private but internationally it makes a difference to us all... 

Maybe we could have a stickied thread where people could post when they find out about any postal problems all over the world

Thanks for the link WildBlue. It is most definitely something to look into having here. I will talk to the other Mods and perhaps try and start working on something this weekend. We are dealing with the loss of a good friend right at the moment so I am a bit on the light side for the time being.

So back on topic it most definitely looks like there are delays coming out of China according to that link. Which I am sure has backed mail up. It's not necessary the sellers fault, as they have no control over delivery time once the package leaves there hands. I would just make sure your 45 days do not pass to open a claim in case there are any potential problems. It can always be closed once your packages arrive and everything is in check. If the sellers are aware of postal delays which most are they will understand the concern.

i don't like doing it but waited as long as i can but i opened a case on three auctions all from same seller through the 'ask a seller a question' just to cover my back with ebay as it was the 44th day, after 45 days you can't claim on anything and it allows me to wait longer. usually when something hasn't turned up within 45days it has got lost in the post or was never sent. that is something else to think about, if a seller is sending out hundreds of things every week they could easily forget an auction or two or more..

well today i was just about to send a message/open case on the next seller, today being the 45th day they actually arrived to my surprise and happiness, i am sick of ponies from china getting lost in the post, so that was douhikeshop   
still a little annoyed it took so long but poor guys though had someone complaining about waiting 17 days to arrive, its from overseas for goodness sake 

with the other guys i opened case they ask i wait 2 more weeks so i will do that

Got today a pony from China which I won at ebay last week...but...it was send from Germany and there is a german PO box address if undeliverable.
Perhaps they have now middlemen in different countries because of so much problems with packages sent from China?

well, i seem to get clothing really fast but anything with a character on it seems to be stuck on customs for a month. i´ve been ordering a bunch of rilakkuma items, such as a porcellan cup, a mobile phone case, some little re-ment and towels for someones birthday, but all of it takes pretty long to arrive! O_O
while i got a simple hoodiejacket in about 20 days.

I agree, things are taking 45 days + from. China right now.

I am waiting on a piece of jewellery that I ordered from a Chinese seller on EBay  and they kindly messaged me to ask for my patience as things are taking much longer than usual.

I responded that I am very patient and can wait up to 44 days.

thats strange but i guess good about the middle man. wow one week is good. i will see how things go in the next couple of weeks and might give certain sellers a second chance just in case things improve but i can not simply order again from china while waiting on so many things for so long. its too frustrating

buffy who did you order of? i might give them ago maybe.
