eBay Eliminates Purchase Details from Feedback System

I think this is a terrible decision on ebays part. It really doesn't make any sense to me. Now when I'm contemplating buying an item from a seller that might have negative feedback, I can't check and see if it's related to an item I'm interested in or something completely different.

  It's a sad day, ebay just gets worse and worse

Sadly it just means that we have to be vigilant about warning others in the community against doing business with anyone who has questionable or illegal behavior. 

Please help me keep my Bad Trader List accurate and up-to-date to keep us all safe!

Ugh, I too thought it was a glitch the other night and definitely don't like this decision for all the reasons mentioned already.
Is there any way we can flood ebay with emails expressing our disappointment with this new change and saying that we'll be buying and selling elsewhere? I'm definitely never going to sell through ebay and I'm considering stopping buying on there altogether as well.
Maybe if enough people tell them that this change (as well as the removal of anything less than positive buyer feedback) is putting us off using them then they might just listen for once!

I'm confused, I too can still go to anyone's profile and see the "View Item" link on their feedback... but, most of the usernames are hidden, there are still some that I can see and click on though...

It's just starting to roll out across the site. I think some can still see it, while others cannot. The way I am reading it is that by the time it is over it will be the same for everyone.

I know I have noticed in the past when they have made changes it doesn't effect everyone at once. That's Ebay for ya!

This is really bad. I don't understand it at all.
How is this change going to make anything better for honest buyers and sellers?
As far as I can see it will only help the dishonest buyers and sellers and make things easier for them.

No wonder ebay didn't dare announce this change...!
