Perhaps people who are hand-making their cards should have been informed well in advance of sign-ups that a photograph of the sketchbook page is not what the mods wanted for a "check-in". 

I have some free time this week, so starting tomorrow, I am working on my cards.  Hand drawn and painted, so...  You are not alone.

I waited, thinking things would be less hectic towards the end of the school semester and so forth.

Me too!  I've written on them with names and little notes to each of my partners with postcards selected specifically for them and the interests they had (hopefully I got them right).  I've an extra card but I'm not sure any new partners would like it but may be able to find one locally.

If I do get new partners, can I still get the addresses for my old partners?  I'll still send them the postcards since they're written up with postage already on them.

Luckily I didn't address my cards yet So I don't have an issue there, can't wait to get the addresses and get these cards out in the mail

I wouldn't mind if my partners changed. I use envelopes so I didn't write anything yet. and my cards are store bought.

oh gosh, I was away fr a few days for the holidays (I know I sound like a broken record, but no internet at my house means weekends and Holidays are no internet time for me)

So *scrolls through list of comments* ah ha!
1. I do not care if my cards are handmade, store bought, printed, a photo, or whatever. The idea that someone is thinking about me and sending me holiday wishes is great.
2. oh no for people dropping out, how will the reshuffling of addresses and cards work?
3. All my cards were custom made for my partners however I can make 1-2 new cards for other people if I need to.
4. For anyone else that has made cards for people that may have dropped or such, we could always scan all of them in and do an collective art trade here to make sure that all these lovely cards have a home.
5. Gosh guys the time has raced by, I’m sure glad I got to work on my cards early, there is so much else going on!

I'm in the same boat...I hope my partners don't change. My cards are all the same, but I made a little item to go with it that is personalized.

But I don't mind sending an extra if we need to cover for the flaker!

I have an extra postcard ready to go if needed? I did an order an extra just in case

I have a few extras on hand as well, so I'd be willing to send some to some of Pandora's recipients if necessary.

Edit; I don't really mind if my partner list changes, as I didn't personalize any of mine. It's very sad that we had a member drop from the swap, though.

Changing partners would be very bad for me.  The cards I have cost me a fair bit of money as it is.  This new format has not proved to be a winner for me at all.
