I have around 35 G1s. Most of them were a bundle I bought, with a couple added since, a couple more in post.

13 G3s which I've had for ages, bought them from a charity shop.

3 g1 plushies.

Problem is I've no where to keep them. Plan is to put daughter in her own room finally, redecorate living room to move the shelves to our room then they can live upstairs (not on the kitchen work top)

This thread really wants me to get started with converting the cellar!!  Imagine...floor to ceiling shelves full of ponies! *sigh*

I have around 25-30 Japanese dolls, all of which are pre-1950, and some that date back to the 1850's. 

Then there's my Kimono collection.  I just counted them, and I'm at 74.  That does not include obi.  Or any of the miscellaneous additions such as my socks, my under-kimono, my trimmings ( such as the obi ornaments, sashes, or even my collection of collars for my kimono.  )  This collection takes up two chests, one of which is a medium chest of 4ft tall, and nearly that wide, and then a massive chest ( which is only half devoted to kimono, the rest holds my dolls, my dance implements and tea ceremony utensils ) that is 8ft wide, and 7ft tall.  Then I have one drawer in my bedset ( I have a captain style bed with 10 large drawers ) filled with kimono too.  I am planning to sell at least 10% of my collection just to get them ALL in the kimono chests where they BELONG. 

So, while I have a small pony collection, my others are crazy.

My grandmother is Japanese & she of course has some nice kimonos, as do my mum and sisters.
Not many, mind you, you have way more.

Protect them against silverfish & moths!!
I hope you have never had that kind of damage.


EDIT: Come to think of it, we have never had that kind of damage either.  It pays to take care of precious things.

Okay, I finally got a chance to sit down and tally.   I sure surprised myself...

G1: 263 (plus 3 petites and a mommy charm; 267 if you count those)
G2: 60
G3: 104
G3.5: 6
Ponyville: 22
G4: 12

plus 96 blind bags... for a grand total of 567 all told (not counting oodles of McPonies, fakies, and a hot mess of G1s, G2s, and G3s in my fixer-upper box).

That's way, way up from the (checks) 48 I had left when I first decided to blow the dust of my collection... two years ago...

I remember seeing your collection before! There is nothing wrong with having a small collection. Sometimes less is better.  Not sure when I am going to put a stop to it. I think when I get the pony room done I will be able to see how they all look in there and go from there.

I have 250-280, about half of those are in my display cabinet, and the other half need to be cleaned/restored. They're mostly G1, but plenty G3 as well and a few G2. I have a total of 4 G4 ponies, and some blind bags, but on the whole, they're my least favorites.

This number includes over 50 fakies, customs and about 60 Poseys in my army... 
I collect all generations to some extent.

I'm on 82 G1s, plus a few G1s that I bought for a swap so will be giving away soon and about 9 new keepers in the mail (fingers crossed!). I have another 20 or so more in the mail that are doubles and I will be selling when restored unless they turn out to be upgrades or variants, but I'm not counting those. My G1 wish list is in my sig and there's a paragraph listing all the G1 types I don't currently collect as well.

The only G3 I own is Frilly Frocks that my sister found me in a bin. I really love her, I want more... I own some 3.2" G4s; plain brushable versions of the mane 6 plus Lyra, Sunset Shimmer, Sunny Rays, Pony... waiting for Minty and Mrs Cake. Want Feathermay and Trixie.

I am telling myself I won't go over 120. This time last year it was 1 (Gusty), 6 months ago is was 40
