Thanks everyone! One of the tricks I use when doing pony plaits is to divide up the hair using a tooth pick so even sized pieces are collected at the top. I've secured the wrap by wrapping cotton thread around and sewing the ends in loosely with a sewing needle. If I pull it will come straight out but otherwise it's quite secure and appears to scale compared to real pony accessories. I also use plaits and wraps on my 'made in china' ponies with no forelock as I think it looks neat and pretty.

One day I may try a heat treatment on her ears to smooth them over but I'm not sure how and I don't dare experiment on this girl as I love her so much. I'll update the thread if I try anything.

No I couldn't make it, I was visiting a pal in Scotland. Next year I'm definitely there. I'll definitely be shopping, doubt I'll be selling. It takes me too long to restore ponies to have enough to sell. I do love it though. On your restores do you fix body damage like bites and chews? So you re-pink hair or re-paint symbols? There is so much more I hope to learn how to do =)

I mostly rehair and repaint.  I can repink, and I've found this really chewed up Butterscotch who I'm going to try and fix up with apoxy sometime WE SHOULD START A PONY HOSPITAL.

I can't wait for next year - all I do all year round is buy baits to restore, so PonyCon is like my heaven haha.
