I have no words to describe how I feel at the moment.

I've been killing myself to get my customs finished in time to ship off to my partner tomorrow.  A couple of days ago, my five year old (who HAD the chickenpox when he was 1!!!) comes down with the chickenpox and we are told that he has to stay home from school for the next 2-3 weeks.  Last night, my seven year old (who had the vaccine at 18 months) started a fever.  No spots yet, but we are waiting to see what happens next.  So my husband takes the afternoon off today to watch them while I'm at work.  I get home after work to find that my husband has decided to "help" me by taking one of the shelves out of my pony desk so I can fit my airbrushing spray booth on there, which I couldn't do in the past because the bottom shelf was too low.  Unfortunately, it doesn't come out easily so he's hammering away and sending splinters and broken pieces of wood in all directions.  My THREE Nintendo swap ponies were on that desk, just waiting for their necks to be glued and their hair to be styled before they shipped out tomorrow.  Thanks to my husband's "help", they now all have damage to their paint jobs - severe damage in a couple of places.   


I don't even know what to say.

I didn't get finished today, but I should tomorrow. I wasn't expecting to have to do seven coats of paint on this thing! So I'm expecting to ship on Friday.

Ugh!  I'm so sorry, Kaelynn!

Maybe we could see about an overall swap shipping date extension?  I hadn't put two and two together, but our school Christmas play is tomorrow night and of course, I have to be there to wrangle my class.  That also means I have to stay there instead of going home and coming back since I have a rather long commute.  Not a nice day tomorrow.

I was supposed to ship on Monday, but I have been running all around so I haven't had a chance to ship the pony yet... I hope I will be able to ship it in time.

I didn't have the heart or mental energy to really assess the ponies last night, but in looking at them this morning some of the areas of damage are not quite as bad as I had originally thought.  They are definitely fixable, but I think the best method will be to sand down the damaged parts and repaint from the bottom layers up.

So now I have a question for my partner:

Partner, I can fix the ponies I made for you, possibly as good as new, but that will mean that they ship out late.  Hopefully I will be able to finish them again in time to ship them out on Monday or Tuesday.  Would you mind waiting a bit longer for your swap box to arrive? 

The worst part about the whole thing really is that my husband is crushed that he tried very hard to do something nice for me because he knows things have been difficult for me lately and he ended up creating several hours of extra work for me.

My package actually should land at its destination today.  So watch out for a package...someone!   Hehe

eta Well delivery estimate is for today, but the last tracking note says it left Nashua on the 10th, so maybe it will not make it today.     I know there has been bad weather in the area it is traveling to...

I'll go ahead and extend the shipping deadline till next Wednesday.  I haven't exactly been on top of things as a host, so hopefully this will help those who received late replies from me.  Kaelynn, I'm so sorry about what happened!  I hope everything gets worked out...
