Same here!  We're about five or six of us at work who'll be Pokémoning up... plus my son... all of us counting down the days... oh, October 12th, just hurry up and get here already!

I preordered my copy on Amazon and the expected delivery date isn't even until the 17th xD I had a $10 credit there so it made sense to save the extra money. Luckily I have a lot of school stuff going on right now so video games are kind of on the back burner xD Still super excited though!

I just saw a picture of the X version of Mega Charizard. He's much more impressive than the orange Mega Charizard (who we now know is Y's version) that came first. He's black with blue markings and blue tail flame and blue fire escaping the corners of his mouth! He's so handsome! Now I'm even more excited about obtaining my pre-ordered copy of Pokémon X.

I will definitely be getting it come Christmas time as that is when I'll be asking for a 3DS xD Sad I gotta wait that long but oh well I can't waiiiit!

Ok, I was all about getting Y so I could catch Yveltal, but after seeing the Mega Evolutions for Charizard and Mewtwo for X, I think I'm either going to have to buy that one or make Mr. Skeen trade me.  I CAN'T DECIDE!

OK, I won't post pics here, but if you do a Google search for Pokemon X and Y starters you will find them. 

---SPOILERS BELOW  don't read if you want to be surprised!------------

Froakie > Greninja  - I like this one, but not crazy about the final form's tounge scarf.  Kinda odd, but overall it's cool!

Chespin > Chesnaught - Not liking this one at all.  But that is only my opinion.  Ends up tough looking.

Fennikin > Delphox - I wanted to love this one, but I don't.  It's not too bad, much better than I expected after seeing the second evolution.  It's good, but still kinda meh to me. 


All in all, I think I am going to go with Froakie.  He ends up water & dark, and I usually have a hard time finding a dark pokemon I like.  Also, after seeing Mega Charizard X I need to choose this one for my fire type!!  So, that puts Fennikin out for me.  I love little Fennikin, but I don't love the evolutions as much. 

What are you going to choose and why?  Which is your favorite?   

I'm so happy I preordered X!!

I'm not really crazy about any of those, even though second evolutions were still pretty good. These are all too human shaped for me. But I think I'll go with Froakie too. Fennekin is the cutest, but I've had Arcanine in my team since I was little, so fire is always out of the starter choices.

All my favorites over the years seem to have been Fire and/or Dark (xxcept for Wooper.  He's my favorite of all time.  OF ALL TIME.), and having seen some of the new Pokémon I have the distinct feeling my team isn't going to buck that trend anytime soon!

I think this is my issue as well.  I wanted Fennikin to stay foxy.  But she looks like a witch or shaman or something.  Not that it's bad, but it's too much of a human and less of an animal.   I never really like the humanoid creatures.

I'm hoping Fennekin's evolutions grow on me. As of now I'm not a big fan. Fennekin itself is super cute and I knew as soon as I saw it it would be my starter.

I think I'm excited? Lol. Some of the new choices/pokemon designs have made me go O.o  I'm really excited to see how many new ones there are though, and I was over the moon about Eevee finally getting a new evolution. I'm just hoping that it gets another one too, since they have been coming out in sets of two. I would also love to see some more of the new mega-evolutions and am really hoping that the original three birds get some upgrades as they are some of my favorites of the originals.

Edit: I just looked up the images of the evolutions for the three starters....... I'm significantly less excited now and more on the fence than I was. I really, REALLY liked Fennikin and was expecting better evolutions T_T

This game looks amazing! The only thing I don't like are the 'super' modes some of the Pokemon get- feels like those silly powerups characters get in some anime, and what will it do with regular evolutions of certian types of Pokemon who really need them? And does Mewtwo- 'the most powerful Pokemon of all' (Pokemon the first movie refere)nce- really need a powerup? :/ Also, temporay power-ups are starting to make Pokemon feel more like it's rival, digimon.  New Pokemon and character customization look awesome, though.
