Does anyone have one that's quite as faded to lavender as mine is? Her body isn't faded at all - which is the weirdest part about it... That's such a pretty pic Eldarwen!
Eldarwen that is just the most amazing looking Sand Digger! Gorgeous! Quote from: Sunshine on September 29, 2013, 12:35:44 PMDoes anyone have one that's quite as faded to lavender as mine is? Its the pigments in the paint colour which leach out.
In my opinion, not necessarily. Think about the amount of Sand Diggers made - loads of different batches for different destinations. Just because one batch is prone to the colour change does not mean all the others will be. The grand total of Sand Diggers in collectors hands is no doubt tiny in comparison to the total made and lost over the years but even in this thread you have a couple which have had the same colour issue. Its a different step in manufacture the paint used in eyes than in symbols so again its not that unlikely that one part of her will change and another will not depending on the batch of paint used at the time. Either way its always cool to have both versions of her
