Would it be evil if I
« on: September 21, 2013, 06:21:07 PM »
used the SS Sundance I found at the fleamarket today for deflocking practice?

Alternately, are there methods for cleaning flocking? She's really not missing much fuzz at all, but is rather grubby in several spots.

Thank you for any input, I have zero SS experience!

You should post a picture of her.

I have not really seen to many of them for sale in the last year.

And if its just dirty you can clean her with dish soap a soft toothbrush. :)

I'd scrub her with a childrens toothbrush and some dish soap. So Softs that are only dirty need to be preserved ^^!

No matter what shape she's in, I think all SS ponies look much prettier deflocked.

Of course she is your pony, but I wouldn't de-flock unless she has major flocking loss or manky flocking.

I wouldn't de flock her unless she is beyond saving. Normal non-ss Sundances are so common, and I have seen very few SS Sundances in nice shape. I would really try to clean her first.

In the end though, she is your pony.

It really depends on the flock condition =)  Just dirty or missing little flocking, I'll keep her as she is.

Really bad flocking, missing a lot, go for deflocking!

But, it's your pony and you decide what's best for her and your practice =D

Yep, depends on how her flocking looks.  If it's nice, there aren't many SS Sundances in nice condition left.  If she's gross, then go for it.

I have 4 of her with nice flocking, just really dirty.  And didn't get the 5th because of a stupid mistake on my part -.-  (I didn't have mony and never asked my mother to buy her for me...  because of: But I've already have her... but she's really nice...)

That doesn't matter to me. (I'm sure there are still some MOC ponies, though.)

But even if it doesn't matter to you it does matter to some people ;w;! There some huuge fans of so-softs! The MOC's do show up a lot but they cost a lot and I hate having Ponies MOC because I think it defeats the purpose of owning a pony and then I'd feel bad for taking it out x3!

No worries. I don't own, or even want, any SS ponies. I don't customize, anyway. It also doesn't bother me if someone buys a MOC pony and opens it. A person is free to do anything they want with their possessions.
