This is one of those little book/kit sets that you find near the registers at bookstores and other places. You know like there's a mini bonsai one, and a sushi thing, and a sand garden. Running Press makes a ton of them.

Sooo yeah, my guess is still dollymix or similar. That listing image just has a picture of G1 firefly photoshopped onto it. Now I guess it's possible that they could reproduce a mini in that pose, but that product image is just a photo of G1 firefly scaled down to the size of the box (which is 1.8 x 2.8 x 3.2 inches.)

That said, I'll still preorder. It will be a cool item to have no matter what ^_^

Psh, if I can spend $5 on a blind bag pony I can certainly spend $6 on a new Firefly of any size! :) I'm super excited.

It would be cool if they made some other g1 ponies like surprise, posey, twilight, sparkler, and applejack. I'm also excited for this, because I have never had a figure of firefly, and I still don't have one now, soooooooo :lookround:

I ended up pre-ordering one :D I figure, if it does turn out to be fake or something, I can always cancel. Plus for $6 it's not too big a gamble anyways ^_^.

Neat! I was secretly hoping it'd be a G4 ver. of Firefly but it's cool that it's a G1 figure too. I wonder how big she actually is.

I'm glad it isn't a G4 model. Nothing against G4 models as I own two but I also own some G1's and to me those seem to be the better quality.

It's curious though as to what the figure actually is because what I do know G1 models aren't exactly...well "mini".  :what:

I ordered a few, I want to help others out and will be selling international also when they come in hand.  But I am not going to jump the gun yet.

"Mini Pony"?  Well, with reduction technology (where you can make a 3D model and change the scale) would make making a smaller replica of a pony easy.  The Amazon page showed they release April 22nd which is still a half year away.  That's a long time to wait.

I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw the picture. I hope its true... I'm not going to lie though... I still think the Firefly pictured is in fact a real G1 pony (like vintage)... if she is mini that brush must be super duper tiny. >.< What are the dimensions of the book supposed to be?

Either way I'm stoked! G1 ponies return!

That is curious. I hope it isn't just a repro of Firefly-- I'd much rather have something totally new! I assume it'll be close to the G1 style, since that's what's pictured on the box.
