I... I kind of love her. And I have one en route to my house.

I will call her Donkey Sparkles.

I'm like 99% certain that's an actual fakie mold used for the head. o_O I wasn't sure what to expect so I didn't have super high hopes, but I'm still disappointed.

I GUESS I could get over the rooted tail if she just had a smaller head with nicer -or maybe just larger- eyes. This isn't so much about quality as it is about a decent looking product, which this kinda isn't. :/ Even some cheapo fakies still look cuter and more proportionate than this.

I just opened mine without looking at this thread first. I needed more prep for that big ugly head, lol.

That nickname is amazing and fantastic.

Bad Hasbro! I don't mind the book is basically clip art or that the pony is on the small side. What gets me is she looks like a fakey, a really bad one.

Thank the gods I didn't pre-order this for a friend, I'd have died of embarrassment. If they do make others, please let them be normal. Come on Hasbro, you gave us 25th anniversary reissues. You can do at least a smaller version.

ARRRRRRRRRRRRRRGH!  * Firefly turns into the Hulk*

Yeah it looks like they modeled from two different fakie molds and scaled them down rather than re-sculpt a G1.

I'm another in the crowd who isn't fond of the gigantic head, and that expression just seems really off. If the head was scaled a bit better this could have been really cute in my opinion (I do like those stubby legs).

I didn't notice if this was mentioned, but does she have good quality hair?

I hope she sells well or she'll probably be the last G1 product we'll ever see.  Personally, I love her.  Yes, her head is large compared to G1 Firefly, but she is definitely based on the same mold.  She has the boot foot even!  AND she's the first pony in who knows how long to have symbols on BOTH SIDES, hallelujah.

She even has a little mini version of her proper brush.  I can get people not liking her, but research and effort WAS put into her, whether you like the results of that effort or not.

I think she's a thousand times better than the sad sad Collector Pony repros.  Much higher quality.

I collect fakies and even I don't want that thing in my herd. She looks like a fakie made by JaRu but they put the rearing pony's head on the standing pony's body. The book is awesome though and its the first I've seen of Snuzzle on merchandise since the 25th anniversary repros.

Really? I didn't know the Collector Pony reproductions were low quality. Are you referring to the 25th Anniversary Ponies? I remember seeing them in stores and thinking they looked well-done. Of course, maybe I would have thought different if I'd bought them and taken them out of the boxes....
