I think she is downright hideous! I'm not totally sure but she really could just be a fakie, I don't see anything about Hasbro involvement on the Amazon page. Running press just might have had licensing or something to use the MLP logo and Firefly's design and to me that would put her in the fakie category. So u less her feet are stamped with Hasbro, she's not a real MLP to me. I am glad most people that ordered her like her though, I'd feel bad if everyone was super disappointed with their purchases. Glad I did not buy one though.

And the booklet is meh. It's a bunch of the retro designs they've been putting on everything, then they have some pages of the original box art that we've seen a lot of.

In the beginning of the booklet it says, "Celebrate the timeless My Little Pony adventure and cheer with classic ponies Firefly, Starshine, Snuzzle, and Glory. Full of charm, each one will bring you back to an enchanted time full of sunshine and rainbows. For every young girl at heart, the world of My Little Pony awaits you. Let Firefly and her friends remind you that dreams can come true!"

It then has a page to each of the named ponies in retro style. I wonder if they considered making all of them?

I really like the body... but the head not so much.  They don't look like they belong together.  The box and book look great though.  I kind of want those.

Oh I'm sure she's licensed by Hasbro.  The U.S. is really strict about the usage of proprietary names in particular to sell a product.  So if it is for sale in the US and says MLP, than it is MLP (licensed), like it or not.

Now that I look at the pony more, it really looks like they sculpted it based on the illustration, rather than based on a G1 pony.  That's probably where the weirdness comes in.  I DO like that the pony has so much hair.  I agree there is some oddness about the head-  but even so I kinda hope they make more G1 characters, I'd get them all!

I edited it to see what it would look like with her head smaller, and yeah, it definitely would help some I think.

Ohhh, that's a better photo. Yeah, I see where you guys are coming from now - her proportions are rather odd.

Honestly I'm just glad they made her. -shrug- But like I say, I wasn't expecting a perfect, miniature reproduction of a G1 pony anyway.

(What was the ceramic figure scandal? I've never heard of it before :o)
