I think what kills me wth the fedex bit is that the fedex hub is 10 minutes from my house. Now I have to wait 2 extra days for the post office to sort it. Not fun.

Ugh, yes. What kills me with amazon orders is that the amazon warehouse is maybe 15 minutes away. But when they use fedex smartpost it always redirects to another state before making its way back to me.

I'm looking at SoSilver's picture and I'm looking at the one on Amazon and that picture is NOT representative of what SoSilver got. The one on Amazon looks like an original G1 (height, head size and leg width), and the one SoSilver got looks like a fakies you see on the horse aisles in stores.

This reminds me of the ceramic pony "scandal" of the early 2000s. Anyone else remember that?  Hamilton collections sent out these flyers in newspapers of these gorgeous MLP ceramic figurines they were going to make in a series...what we actually got were these hideously ugly acrylic ponies that looked nothing like what they'd previously advertised. They must have gotten enough complaints because they never released any after the second one.

I'm glad for the people that like what's come out, but honestly, to me, it looks like Little Brown took the easiest route out and went with a fakie and slapped Firefly's symbol on it.

This is literally my first thought XD Does anyone still have pics of the before and after shots of those ceramics??? I can't seem to find mine on my computer

Well, a little disappointed but I still think she is almost cute.  And a fakie-looking Firefly is still a firefly-  maybe she would look better if someone re-did her eyes?

Oh I always wondered what happened to those ceramics! I never even saw the first one- I DO remember the beautiful pictures though.

I'm not going to cancel my order. I'm hoping if Hasbro sees that there is a demand for G1, they might make more of them, maybe even release the G4 mane 6 in G1 form. How awesome would that be?

Ha!  I like her!  I think, given that she's smaller than a G4 and I'm sure Running Press didn't have access to the mold recasts from the 25th anniversary rainbow ponies, that the sculpt looks pretty good.  The proportions are off, but they did make her pose faithful to the original.

"Okay, so I like her body. Ponies have short and stubby legs. Too bad her head looks precisely like an alicorn fakie, and as people are mentiontioning, is waaay too big. But it could be worse. I kind of want that booklet."

This was my initial thoughts. Then I went back for a second, redeeming look and discover that OMG she has this really ugly, rooted tail! Definitely a deal breaker for me!

Aw, I think she's kind of cute. At least it's different from the 500 Twilight Sparkles and Pinkie Pies that are out right now.

She actually looks a lot like a Lanard pony I think.

I think she is cute, and I like that she is Firefly, but I do still wish her mold was closer to the original.  I don't see why they couldn't have done that, McDonald's ponies are tiny and cheap and had to be made from a new mold- but they still look like Hasbro MLPs.

Still, I'm looking forward to seeing mine. She is a lot bigger than I thought she'd be.

Oh my....she does look like a bit of an ugly fakie. I don't feel bad for not ordering one now at least. ;) Thanks for sharing the pics, though!

Lol oh Lord I hope not.
If all those new G1 would look like her then I'm totally off from collecting ponys lol :D

I wasn't around any forums around the time the Hamilton figurines came out, so I don't know what those ones were supposed to look like (anyone have pics?), but I actually like those ones as they are. I bought Glory from Ebay and have been wanting to buy Firefly even if her head looks a bit funny. If anyone has one they'd be willing to sell, you should PM me. :)

I'm not canceling my order for these, though. They're cheap and I'll take anything g1 like. Also, an ugly little collection of these ponies might be cute.
