Has anyone taken the glitter of PP and Wysteria yet?

Wysteria seems more clear than Pinkie in terms of plastic. Just an observation. Pinkie is more solid looking, still a little clear, but less than wysteria.

yeah i have and wasn't that happy after, i bought a spear pinkie cheap from china to de-glitter, it didn't look as great as i thought it would i thought it would look more clear, i will up load a photo soon, got as far as the most of the body and gave up, it wasn't easy unless what i was using was of cheap quality but took me far too long to do....

right i have taken a picture of what it looks like under the glitter, i will finish it one day when i  have the energy
i do love the glitter and i love the glitter on the FS size ones a little more

Are you me? Haha, I did almost exactly the same thing! Tried to remove the glitter with nail polish remover, got frustrated after the body took so long, and left her with a glittery head. She's been sitting half-deglittered in my bathroom cabinet for ever. So funny

yes you need to get pure acetone (bunnings or mitre10 mega will have it in the paint section), nail polish remove doesn't compare.

CAREFUL! Pure acetone melts cheap G4 plastic! I used pure acetone to get the glittery symbol off of Lemony Gem, and found this out. The pony wasn't ruined or completely melted, but the vinyl was peeing up and flaking. I wasn't able to get the flank fully smoothed back out.

I never had acetone eat at my G4 ponies before. At worst, it made the vinyl slightly squishier after SOAKING in acetone for days and weeks on end. The body and head.

So yeah, one bad pony doesn't mean they're all the same. Just be careful.

hehe I mean no offence I read what you said I was refering to g1 when I said acetone would melt ponies just forgot to specify in my post, shabbychic has lots of g1s and knows I would only use acetone of g1s as I don't collect g4s :  )

Yeah, pretty hard to guess G1 in a thread about G4s with people talking about G4s. >.>

Yeah, when I got my glittery Pinkie I looked at the bottom of her hooves to see how transparent she was and she really isn't.  It's pretty disappointing.

Hopefully there will be clearer ones down the line, if that Tropical Pinkie someone got from Taobao is any indication.
