My First Custom

Hey guys! I just wanted to show you all my first pony. It's nowhere near as good as any of the others on here, but it was my first, so here it goes!
I actually made this a year ago, but I never finished it. I couldn't figure out how to paint the back of her front boots, or the front of her back boots because her legs were in the way. In truth, I still have no idea how I could have done it without cutting her body in half.
I used air dry clay and acrylic paints. She's definitely not suitable for sale because air dry clay is so fragile, and because, frankly, she's not worth £10, but there's some sentimental value there so I'm happy to keep her ^^ I only painted her boots yesterday after getting fed up with looking at her half-finished on my bookcase.

I have done another pony recently which is one million miles better, but I'm not ready to show her yet.

Be gentle with me! I'm working on two new ponies now, and I've been using polymer clay instead of air dry clay. Because it was my first pony, too, I didn't paint or dye her, I chose a pony that was already a suitable colour. High Elves in Skyrim have quite golden skin.
This pony is based on a High Elf Thalmor from Skyrim, also shown below.

Wow! That is awesome! Great work. I also would have never known that it was your first custom. I hope you decide to make more in the future to sell because I would have purchased her in a her in a heartbeat. She is lovely <3

Thank you everyone! That means a lot. It was quite a big risk to decide to instantly start sculpting on her rather than trying something simpler, but I like to dive right in - even if I'm not ready!

I am doing more. I made another recently but she's unsellable - I was unaware that, if you put the pony in the oven with polymer clay for too long, at too high a temperature, or more than once, it can damage her. In his case, it was her neck. The entire neck split from the first to last root. Fortunately I never meant to sell her, but since I got on so well with my second pony, I'm working on a few to try to sell. Of course, working out how to price them is a whole other thing!
