I have a couple, I'll have to take a picture. I got mine when we visited Stockholm. They really do come in almost every color and size! I love them
I would probably get it on my chest somewhere, maybe above my right boob? I'm not sure yet- I'd like it to be coverable, of course. I wouldn't get it that big- probably 5 inches or so for the whole thing!
Okay, well I think this one is my favorite..visitors can't see pics , please register or loginI couldn't exactly take it home though!
They are pretty expensive though
This dala horse thing reminds me of how I liked to collect Maneki Nekos before I got into collecting toys. They satisfied my desire to collect something cute while being something "adult". Eventually I got over my hangup of wanting to be "adult" that was keeping me from collecting toys but I am still fond of my Nekos even if I hardly buy them anymore.
Here's something neat for all you Dala collectors out there: Ursula K. LeGuin wrote a children's book featuring one that comes to life called A Ride on the Red Mare's Back ( http://www.amazon.com/A-Ride-Red-Mares-Back/dp/0531070794 ). Sadly it's no longer in print, but Amazon seems to have reasonably priced used copies. That was how I first heard of Dala horses as a child because our local library had a copy of the book. I was happily surprised to learn later in life that they were a real thing (that sadly can't turn into actual horses :p )!

LeGuin, but I've never read that story
