Sunfading with the help of a plastic bag?
« on: August 04, 2013, 04:17:40 AM »
Im atm sunfading a skydance wrapped up in kitchen foi. But I only have sun in my garden. Now the bad thing is is that some crows tc start stealing the foil. Im planning to put her in a transparant zipper bag now and my question is if this will help and if sunfading will still work then.

sure it'll work might take a little longer though as some of the radiation will be deflected by the plastic bag, She may heat up abit more too but don't think that will cause a prob either

I sucessfully sunfaded ponies indoors in a sunny window. I imagine it would be the same effect with a plastic bag :)

Yes, it seems to work fine in a plastic bag. I've successfully sunfaded many ponies this way!

You need to watch for moisture build up though. Plastic sweats and exposing it to heat in a sealed back is going to create condensation. So make sure you leave the bag opens so there is a good air flow :)
Thank you Matcha for my gorgeous Baby Fifi avi

The crows could take off with your entire pony if you're not careful! Just FYI. ;) Personally, I would sunfade her in a window to be safe. I worked at a zoo for years and the crows would take off with bags full of fruit or worms for our animals all the time.
