The correct term for this factory hair styling is "lightly gelled." Am I right, Monster High collectors? I'm glad that some of you were able to clean her up! She looks great with her hair de-glued!
Another reason to love the long-haired version from Taobao. I really like her mane! She just comes with the usual bird's nest hair sans glue.I guess Hasbro expected collectors to just leave her alone. What's the point of a brushable if you can't brushie-brushie-brushie?
Worry not!!! First, yes, this is how she's being released. A travesty, I know. What I did is soak her hair with some boiling water, then got a fine-tooth comb and some shampoo. Shampoo her from the roots for a bit, then rinse in the hot water and comb. Repeat until all the stuff is out! The hair will be very soft afterwards.
