Where to find pink sparkle hair?

Hi I'm new to customs, and  I have a very specific question I hope you guys can help me with. I have a 2008 (I thnk?) pink sparkle Pinkie Pie with the 3-D balloon cutie mark I found at a thrift store. She needs some cleaning as she has some crayon marks on her legs and her tail and mane need to be redone. Where can I find or how can I make that sparkley tinsel stuff in her hair? The search feature wasn't really helping me (I tried searching for pink hair and sparkle hair; any other search suggestions?).

I was going to mod her and remove the balloon, but I think that might be too hard to cover up.

Edited to add: Apparently I also have a sparkleworks pony that needs some new hair badly as well. Any tips on the sparkly stuff in the hair would be nice. I'd feel bad modding these two since I know what they are.

The sparkle strands are tinsel. You can buy tinsel on its own and add it to the hair but i also think you can buy it already combined.

I used to get mine as embroidery thread from jo-anns. It's not curlable though. You can try Sallys beauty/Ebay they have the hair tinsel that can be curled with an actual iron or boil permed. I got some awhile ago and haven't played with it yet.
