Convince me to like Ponyville...I think it is possible!

As a dyed-in-the-wool G1 enthusiast, I didn't pay much attention to the end times of G3.5 and Ponyville.  I saw them in the stores, sure, but I wasn't convinced enough to buy (or buy into) the Ponyville stuff.  I've gotten them in lots, poured all the little pieces into bags, and boxed it away unsorted. 

So, I was paging through Summer's new book today while my toddler was happily flooding the bathroom with her bath.  And the photos of Ponyville sets started to win me over.  There were so many adorable little accessories throughout the series!  (Though I've always found the wigs hard to swap out and make stay.)  I love accessories!  And then I came across a photograph of the absurd, even adorably absurd, "Gymnastics Fun with Scootaloo".  It is the silliest, goofiest thing I've ever seen Hasbro do with My Little Pony and yet, I kinda love it.  I realize I might need a shelf (or two?) dedicated to these Ponyville gals and their many, many accessories.

So tell me!  What are your favorite bits and bobs from Ponyville?  The pizza boxes?  One of the houses shaped like a food item?  Win me over to this era of ponydom.

I like ponyville! I never did at the time  as I was not interested in G3.5 but we find ponyville stuff at charity shops and car boot sales and I think its really solid, well made stuff that stands up to childrens's play much better than, for example, the G4 castle.

My favourite playset - I dont know what its called but its a roller skating house? I also like the popcorn cinema

I'm not a fan of the g3.5 ones with the wigs, but i freakin love g3 ponyvilles. So cute! So far my favourites are magic marigold and shenanigans. and fluttershy.. and.. okay I'm stopping now!

They are very cute. I also got that book and was looking threw it all. I did not know that they came with different hair later on. I was really not into them when they first came out. I do not have any in my collection though.

The Ponyville are adorable. I'm an accessory junkie so I loved the Ponyville for that. So many tiny little shoes!!  Sadly, I've sold off most of mine at the fair this year - I just don't have enough space for everything.

We LOVE ponyville in this house.  My three year old plays with them daily.  All the fun sets and accessories are perfect for her little hands and the shelves in her room.  There is a great deal of variety out there and its fun to play with her!

I prefer the ones without wigs myself, I only have Minty atm though (with socks on) just like this except she hasn't come to life.

I don't like the wig ones really. I don't know why.

I love Ponyville! It's hard not to love. They're tiny, they're adorable, they have awesome playsets with cute, tiny accessories. I have my sets put away until I can find more room... somewhere. These are some old photos when they were set up. My favorite is probably the Sweet Shoppe, but the Fancy Fashions set is adorable too.

The playsets are just totally adorable, I adore the Movie Theater, it's so cute, and you can set up so many cool sceneries!
