No you are both right she would once have been the same colour as a regular Bluebelle. Its just that the pigments leach/fade out of the plastic and leave her this white/creamy colour. As mentioned before you find Bluebelles in a range of different "faded" conditions - some blue with white patches, some white with blue patches, some all white, etc. So the "white Bluebelle" is a known phenomenon but it exists due to chemical changes not due to her being released that way.
