Yes, yes it is. One of our two bantam pecan hens just snuck into the house and layed an egg on the couch. And then jumped up on the recliner with hubby... then came to visit me, on the bed with the cat and dog. Good grief, this place is a zoo!

She's now on the recliner on her own.. she's claimed it. If I could toilet train her I'd be happy... but they poop everywhere!

My neighbor has them and they get over the fence and into our yard now and then. One of her hens took a liking to me till the rooster came over and got annoyed. I just gave him a glare and he backed off as if to say SHES YOURS!! don't give me any trouble.

Yeah I usually usher them gently back out... but hubby thought it was cute and let them in... so he gets to clean up the poop! That's why he lost the recliner - he was mopping!

Very cute!

At my parents' house, the first chicken we ever got gets fed tortillas so she's really spoiled. She always comes up  to the deck and looks in through the door begging for some. My step mom has let her in the kitchen a few times. Also, they have a potbellied pig that lives in the house  :blink:

People actually make diapers for chickens so the poop is not an issue.

We have two chickens... (the other one is really old, hubby raised her as a teenager, and the stairs are becoming too much for her) and two ducks... the male duck chases me though, and the female is soooooo loud, it drives me insane! But they are pretty adorable. My hubby also has three aviaries of parrots and finches, and then another 4 individual bird cages. With the dogs and cats and the horses at my MIL's... we really do have a bit of a zoo. At least we don't have any reptiles anymore...
