I need to make a lot of bells to pay off my house to get to the fun part of the game. I've been fishing and catching bugs like mad but I'm barely halfway there. Any tips on making lots of bells fast?

Bug catching on the island in the evening, around 7-9PM.

The ones that spawn on the trees on the beach are worth the most. Some people cut down the fruit trees, and remove the bushes/flowers so the expensive bugs spawn more.

If you have the patience/don't mind hanging around other message boards, I'd recommend turnips. I made 3 million almost by chance as I found someone with turnips selling for 497 or so.

Anyone else love the dresses in this game? I buy and hoard every one I can find that I don't have. My Able Sisters shop had three different dresses for sale today that I didn't have, so that was totally awesome.
