There are two mail deliveries. I believe 6 am and 6 pm but not exactly sure. if you order before the later time, it should be delivered. There's no way to force the mail in this game like in wild world.

Edit: Is anyone interested in coming over? I have a lot of stuff i'm gonna set out for free (stealing your idea Sora ;-3c ) and its winter here, so winter fishing/bug catching for museums if people want. I also have the contacts thing at shampoodle :-D

Actually, I only did it once with the grass-growing trick. Hop one month into the future then straight back to the current date. Grass is back!
