Lookin good so far! What product did you use to sculpt with?

Thank you!  I used Apoxie Sculpt.  This is my second custom using it and I quite like it.  It takes a bit of getting used to as the consistency changes as you're working with it and it starts to set, but I really love the durability of it as compared to the polymer clay that I've used in the past on pure sculpts.

Wow, he looks great! LOVE the twisted horns, and great job on the scales and fangs!

Thank you!  :D

Holy cow, I can believe those scales would take you a while!   Great job though, the sculpt looks awesome and I can't wait to see the finish paint job!

Yeah, I totally need to find a more time effective way to do those!  I have some ideas for the next time so we shall see.  Paint job in progress!  :D

Wow, you blew me away with your moose before, and this one looks like it'll blow me away again! Amazing work. Even a "non-pony" person would like a kirin like this. I can't wait to see it all finished!   :)

Looks awesome so far, I can't wait to see him all painted and done! ^^

Be careful when rehairing, though, I hope the scales on his neck won't pop off. Apoxie is very durable and adheres quite well, but it can pop off if the plastic underneath bends too much.

Thank you!  I can't wait either!   I'm such a newbie that everything I'm doing is for the first time so I'm just hoping I don't make too big a mess with the paint and have to give him another FBR!

Oooh, thank you for the advice!  I'll be very careful!  I can't wait until he's done too!  Life keeps getting in the way and keeping me from working on him, but hopefully tonight I'll get a chance!
