It's very easy; on a dragon's page click on "Actions" then select "Breed." A list of dragons of the opposite gender will pop up for you to choose from. If the dragons like each other (there is a chance they won't) and are willing, they'll produce an egg that will be the breed of one of the parents.  A dragon can only breed (or attempt to breed) once a week.

I have hatchlings! For the first time in several years, no less. I hope to start a vintage line but am unsure whether or not I'll flag off... although if my phone games are any example then I won't lose interest for a while...

Also, I think you come up with great dragon names too. I think you'd better start naming mine too, my names are aweful!

  I named one of mine "Blue Duckling". Not very dragony at all! But she's a girl so maybe it's not so bad.

I named my Daydream Dragon "Billie Joe Armstrong",ya know, after Green Day's frontman?

  It's so hard coming up with names. Sometimes I come up with ones I really like but they always seem to be taken. Grrrrr.
My favourite one so far is 'Green Gremlin'. I named one of my hatchlings that. I kind of wish I'd waited till, well if I knew whether it was a he or a she but mainly until it had grown up. If he or she dies I will be very sad! Who am I kidding? I'll be sad if any of them die.
I took on too many this time but luckily 3 are adults now. I just have to get the other 3 to adulthood now. I'm only going to have a couple of eggs/ hatchlings at a time from now on. Making sure I rotate them enough is a bit stressful.

Ooh...I hate it when names are taken  I get fed up and lose hope, I wish we can name the names we want to name our dragons :/ as long as we're not putting vulgar language, we should be fine

Yeah, it's really frustrating. It just makes a hard job even harder.

My dragon page still isn't updating properly. It only updates a dragon when it becomes an adult. It's still telling me my 3 hatchlings are eggs. So they are still being shy and going back in their shells sometimes.

I use a random re-namer to name my for dragons, some of them could almost pass for MLP names!

Hey - if any of you newbie dragon cave players need any of the BSL dragons, let me know. Magi (orange for teleport), Purple (for fertility), or Pink (for influence) send me a PM.  I am also happy to breed and gift some of my rarer stuff (like tinsels) to newbies for free. Or just about any of the others. The only things I don't give away for free are the really special ones, like 2nd gen golds and stuff.  But if you want a messy gold, that I can do.

I have lots of fun naming my dragons. Lots of  times I try to create a name for them out of their unique ID code. Sometimes it doesnt work though. Some people deal with names always being taken by creating a common last name for all their dragons. It makes it more likely the name u want will be available and makes your dragons more identifiable to others.
