Uhum, it works like this for me too. Bushing a pony it totally relaxing. Sometimes I don't even need a comb, doing it with my fingers will be enough.

I love silken manes, oh my, that can surely help to fix a bad day.

I keep a pony (er, okay, several... ) on my desk at work for just this reason.  Dancing Butterflies at the moment; the main pony focus rotates from my doubles.   Even if I can't outright brush her, sometimes just looking at her, or pushing her forelock out of her eyes, can calm me down out of a moment.  Whatever works to keep calm!

I find brushing relaxing I also pick up my ponies and sorta head butt them mostly with G1s since they have the nice big heads and I like to 'pet' the so softs

LoL! I love the visiual of you gently head-butting ponies...I'm gonna have to try that! I introduced my friend/neighbor to ponies when she was stressed at exam time...helped her chill to clean and brush them. Having something gentle to touch, something that seems to gently look back, I think that's all thrapeutic.
We all seem to forget the stories and secrets we told our toys when we were young, we forget with age that the world isn't a cynical and hard place all the time. My ponies help me remember the good times, and brushing brings me back to that time, good or bad, when ponies were all I had.

I love brushing pony hair.  When I had my G4 Applejack keychain on my purse, I would randomly start brushing her hair, and often didn't realize I was doing it.

This is why I love so softs! I like to brush their manes and gently pet the fuzz (but not too much so I don't wear it off!)

I remember back when I started looking at colleges to attend I kept Magic Star in my bag to pet when we visited campuses. School was always stressful for me, and she certainly helped keep me calm while touring around.

Maybe this is why I got so hooked with collecting and restoring ponies when I was having I really hard time few years back. It comforts me. That's probably the reason for my love of cats I suppose.

Yes! I used to carry a pony to school just so I could comb It's mane before big tests and such.
It really is calming.

Ponies make me feel happy and calm. Especially G1s.

I don't have school for 9 weeks now (Just finished Year 11), but OMG it stressed me out so much. It also made me really depressed, because I was a victim of severe bullying. When I got home, I always used to get a pony from my shelf and brush it, or just sit it next to me while I worked on stuff on my laptop. They always make me feel better after a bad day.
