Fifty Shades of Posey!
« on: June 12, 2013, 02:52:09 PM »
No... I'm just kidding, only four!

I have a bit of a dilema. Whilst going through my double ponies I've come across four Poseys... but each of their symbols is a different shade!

I know there's debate as to whether they're variants or just different phases of fading but I just don't know whether to keep them all or just the one with the darkest symbol.

Do I need four Poseys? What do you think pony community? :)

I believe that there is a "Posey" and a "Magenta Posey" but I think that the two palest are just faded versions of "Posey".

You could totally start a Posey army!

I'm pretty sure white flower Posey is a real nirvana, I'm just not sure if it's a different country or just a variant. The middle two seem to be the normal girl though. And I agree with DaffyDilly on the magenta one too :)

Hmm, what would make you think she's a nirvana? They are all marked the same on the feet with Hong Kong.

My childhood Posey has completely white flowers to go with her faded hair. She has a tiny streak of pink in her tail though. I ended buying a second Posey with nice pink hair and flowers just have a pink version.
If I remember right So Soft Posey has the magenta flowers.
It looks like you have a lovely example of the various stages of fading Posey

The magenta one is a UK Posey and is a genuine variant. The rest are just normal Posey with different stages of fading.

Also, Nirvanas can be marked HK/China, most European ponies are marked that way (as in, sets that were only released in Europe).

Of course :) (though I wouldn't count many standard European ponies as Nirvana either!) I was wondering on what basis a Posey with white flowers would be considered nirvana :)

Thanks for all your answers everyone :D

All of this :P 1) you can never have too many Posies and 2) magenta on the right and the rest varying degrees of normal Posey

There isn't a white symbol Posey HK/China - however I can completely understand where that rumour perhaps comes from; like others, I have had plenty of Posies over the years and a surprising number have little to no pink left. I could well believe there is a white symbol, white haired army out there.

Ah, of course, sorry, my bad, I didn't see the white one was referred to as a nirvana ^^

The magenta Posey is UK version the rest are in different stages of fading (kinda like her hair) so I would choose the darker of the three to keep.

UK and Euro ponies aren't considered Nirvanas.

Me too!
If they were my Poseys I would keep them because I think they look amazing all lined up like that. It's cool how they are all (except the magenta one :) ) at different stages of fading. Yeah, I would definitely keep them. :)

I agree that you can never have too many poseys!

The different shades of the lighter pink can be attributed to fading, but given how many runs of posey there were and how many were produced, it seems equally likely there could additionally be slight variability between batches.

If you don't want to keep them all, just choose your favourite!
