The one thing I remember from my visit to Toronto - sadly this was over 20 years ago - They had a mint Streaky and Stripes in the Museum - I wanted to steal them so badly. I wonder if they are still there...
I think that was the one I just remember it was HUGE- they also had an eagle eye flight simulator thing and a bunch of other interactive stuff - I was still in High School so it was quite a while ago.There was a section of Child Development toys through the ages - ponies were in with some other '80's stuff.

Anyway, the by the pound shop is actually in Pickering, but it's all one big amorphous blob down there that I call Toronto. I never saw ponies at the ROM either but that's not saying much...any time I went it was always Mummies mummies mummies. Stupid pigeon holing public schol. Sad to thing they may be in there now under "80's kitsch" or something.And why don't we have a pony party in Ontario? Maybe it's time to organize one!!
